Department of Geology Nagpur University RTMNU

About us
Established in 1946, The Post Graduate Department of Geology is one of the oldest departments in Central India. The Department has produced more than 1600 post graduates and 72 Doctoral students. The infrastructure facilities, for both teaching and research, in the Department were boosted because of sanctioning of Rs. 18.00 lacs from the X Plan of UGC in March 2004, Rs. 40.00 lacs under FIST of DST in February 2005. Recently, the department received a funding of Rs. 40.00 Lacs under DRS of SAP of UGC. The Faculty members of department have been publishing papers in the National and the International Journals including a number of edited research volumes (Prof.. P.P. Kundal- 03; Prof. A. M. Pophare- 03; Prof. D. B. Malpe- 02; Dr. H. S. Kale- 02 and Dr. S. K. Humane- 01). The Department has organized a number of National Seminars. The faculty members of department regularly present outcome of their research in National as well as International Seminars.
